Summary
Materials used in the construction sector, their production, properties and
uses. Fire-technical properties of building and platics materials, possibilities of their
positive treatment, reaction to fire. Interpretation of properties of building materials in
connection with fire safety in structures. Transition to European standards
and the expiration of original norms ČSN in the area of fire technical
testing.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
Exercise of materials used in the construction sector, their production, properties and uses. Fire-technical properties of building materials, possibilities of their
positive treatment. Interpretation of properties of building materials in
connection with fire safety in structures. Building materials in context of possibilities with fire safety in structures, their analysis, kategorization and positive treatment of properties.

Course Contents
Clarification of use of plastics and materials in construction, production and application of these materials. The properties of materials change their options.
Interpretation of the properties of materials in connection with the fire safety of buildings, their analysis, categorization and treatment characteristics. Fire technical reaction to fire tests, the European test method for classification.
