Summary
Study of functional processes of man-machine systems in the aggressive
environment of an incident, major influences acting on system reliability and
life. Organisation and means of chemical-technical service of the Fire Rescue
Service and personal protection.
Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit
The main aim of the subject is to introduce main functional processes of any human-machine system during any kind of crisis, and conditions of a dominant impact on system reliability and working life. Student should be able to present his/her knowledge and abilities, to explain main guidelines and applications of chosen technical equipments.
Course Contents
1. Basic provisions of the Regulations of engineering, technical and chemical services. Operation and maintenance of technical systems, test and documentation. The main influences on operational reliability and durability. Application of decision analysis methods in the selection of appropriate technical agents.
2. Basics of the mechanics of the movement of road vehicles. Rolling resistance, vehicle speed in extreme conditions, the stopping distance.
3. Execution of special rescue operations - footholds Fire and Rescue Service.
4. Work with hazardous substances. Disposal of hazardous materials accidents. Enhanced detection of hazardous substances.
5. Decontamination of fire fighting equipment and the general public. Disposal of oil accidents.
6. Volume water pumping. Haulage water hoses and pumping from great depths.
7. Rocking heavy vehicles.
8. Special fire equipment for the liquidation of emergencies in tunnels.
9. Rescuing people from collapsed buildings. Emergency survival of the population.
10. Work at height and rescue using rope techniques. Carrying out rescue operations by helicopter.
11. Work under the water surface.
12. Manufacturing corporation visits.
