1st year
•The timetable of the Safety in Electronics course will be published on the web pages of the department (www.fei.vsb.cz) at the beginning of September.
•The student is obliged to enrol in English for the first four semesters.
•The student’s studies are checked after the winter semester; the student must get a minimum of 16 credits in order to continue the summer semester of the first year.
•The student needs at least 40 credits to pass into the second year.
•During his studies, the student must take two courses offered by the Social Sciences department. The first course is scheduled for the summer semester of the first year. The student will be invited to choose by the department management by means of its web pages during the examination period after the winter semester. The second course is scheduled for the winter semester of the second year and the student chooses it at the time of their initial enrolment.
•The course the Basics of Mathematics is optional for students doing the part-time form of studies. (jen pro IKT)
2nd year
•During the first and second years, it is necessary to pass two Social Science courses.
•For English, choose the correct level (a – beginners, b – advanced)
•To pass into the third year, it is necessary to fulfil all the obligations laid down for the first year and to get 40 credits from courses in the second year.
3rd year
•The tuition in the summer semester only lasts 10 weeks.
•The possibilities for passing the Bachelor’s seminar (project)1,2 course:
a) treatment of a topic given bythe department
b) treatment of a topic given by a company
c) in the form of a practical placement in a company – only for students following the full-time form of studies (at the SZZ (State Final Examination) the student presents their final report on the practical placement).
•Students following the part-time form of studies can find further information on the organisation of their studies on the web pages www.fei.vsb.cz, in the Establish for Students section called Time Schedule.
•The scheduled excursions are part of the study plan.
•The studies are concluded with the State Final Examination. It includes the defence of the bachelor’s studies. The average for the main courses of the programme (compulsory courses) and the average for the main courses of the specialisation (optional-compulsory courses) are evaluated. The topic areas for the State Final Examination will be published on the web pages http://kat440.vsb.cz/ .

•Information on the organisation of the studies is available on the departmental web pages http://kat440.vsb.cz/ in the section Studium/Kombinované studium.
The optional-compulsory courses are compulsory in the second and third years of the specialisation.
2nd year
• The course Transmission Ensembles (PS) is replaced by the course Transmission Ensembles and Media (PSaM). Students who are repeating the year and have not completed PS will be enrolled in PSaM. These students are also to enrol anew in the optional-compulsory courses Radio Communication Technology (RT I) and Programming Languages I (PJ I).
3rd year
• The courses Radio Networks (RS) and Practicum of Communication Networks I (PKS I) are newly included into the block of optional-compulsory courses. PKS I replaces the course Communication Networks (KS). Students who are repeating the year and have not completed KS and RD will be enrolled in these courses.
• In order to complete their required number of credits, the students enrol in optional courses, preferably from the offer determined for the MOT specialisation and this with regard to the specialisation, i.e. the so-called "recommended optional courses" (see the planning card and domains for the State Final Examination on the web pages http://kat440.vsb.cz/ ). In addition, they choose the courses offered as optional courses of other specialisations of the IKT programme.
• In the third year, the students only enrol in those optional courses for the summer semester that are valid according to the offer for the third year.
• The offer of optional courses can be limited during the enrolment if the number of students enrolled is low; the students will be informed by e-mail.
