1st year
•The timetable of the Safety in Electronics course will be published on the web pages of the department (www.fei.vsb.cz) at the beginning
of September.
•The student is obliged to enrol in English for the first four semesters.
•The student is obliged to undergo two semesters of physical training during the first year; he chooses the sport according to the offer of
the physical training department at the beginning of the semester. Other choices depend on the student. The physical training
department also offers the student the chance to take an optional course in Physical Training and to participate in one-week winter and
summer training workshops. Detailed information is available directly from the Physical Training department.
•The student’s studies are checked after the winter semester; the student must get a minimum of 16 credits in order to continue the summer semester of the first year.
•The student needs at least 40 credits to pass into the second year.
•During his studies, the student must take two courses offered by the Social Sciences department. The first course is scheduled for the summer semester of the first year. The student will be invited to choose by the department management by means of its web pages during the examination period after the winter semester. The second course is scheduled for the winter semester of the second year and the student chooses it at the time of their initial enrolment.
Year 2
• A student is obliged to complete at least 2 subjects from the Department of Social Sciences
• A student is obliged to sign up for English language for each of the first four terms. A student is to select his/her adequate level (a – beginners, b – advanced)
• To be able to progress into year 3, a student must fulfil all requirements prescribed for year 1 and obtain 40 credits from subjects passed in year 2.
• A student is to sign up for all compulsory and compulsory optional subjects given for a particular year.
• Detailed instructions on signing-up for OSP can be obtained at the given field Department or at the web pages of the given Department (www.cs.vsb.cz)
• All subjects that a student signs up for, including optional subjects, become binding/compulsory on the day of signing up.
• The field Department is the Department of Informatics.
Year 3
• In the spring term, lessons are given only for the duration of 10 weeks.
• A student is to sign up for all compulsory and compulsory optional subjects for the given year.
• A student can sign up for the subjects of Bachelor Project 1 and 2:
o The Department topic processing
o By way of praxis in a company – only for students of full-time studies
• A student may register for the final state exam provided he/she has completed all signed-up subjects, has obtained 180 credits for the entire Bachelor’s studies, and has submitted his/her Bachelor’s thesis.
• The final state exam includes:
o The defence procedure of the Bachelor’s thesis
o An exam from the subjects of Information and Communication Technologies (the average mark from compulsory subjects may be taken into account)
o An exam from the subject of Information and Technology (the average mark from compulsory subjects may be taken into account)

Subject Popularization of Science and Technology 1 could be enrolled on the branch department after agreement of guarantee of study programme/branch.
From subjects Introduction to bussines Englisch and Technical corespondence, Popolarization of Science and Technology I and Conversation (English, German, Russian, Spanish) student can get 4 credits at maximum in the bachlor's study.
The courses in English, German, Russian and Spanish conversation are intended for:
1. students who wish to go on a study stay abroad (for example within the Erasmus programme); they enrol in the course for the semester before their scheduled departure;
2. students who link to the Master’s studies, according to the capacity of the foreign language department;
3. students of Bachelor’s studies who are to pass an exam in a foreign language (usually after having completed four semesters of foreign language education), according to the capacity of the foreign language department.
The students can enrol in a course only once during their studies at FEI. The number of students who can enrol in this course will be limited by the capacity of the foreign language department. Those students who are leaving for a study stay abroad always get priority. The students of related Master’s studies come next.
The education is always to be discussed individually at the foreign language department.
