• In the winter and summer semester, the offer of optional subjects includes Master’s Project 1 and Master’s Project 2. If the student chooses MP1, they must also sign up for MP2. In both subjects, students in groups solve an extensive specialised project, depending on which specialisation they are studying. In the summer semester in MP2 they then defend the project.
• Second-year students in the summer semester sign up for optional subjects from the second year offer.
• The subject Popularisation of Science and Technology 2 can be registered at the field department only by students who will conduct the Cybernetics club.
• Here students choose subject based on their specialisation, so that the resulting number of credits from mandatory, mandatorily optional and optional subjects is at least 120 credits. Subject Corporate English I and II: if the student also signs up for English Conversation for FEI during follow-up master’s study, the credits either from Corporate English or from Conversation shall be included in their 120 credits.

• Subject: English, German, Russian and Spanish conversation are designated for:
1. Students who wish to travel for foreign study exchanges (e.g. within the Erasmus program) sign up for the subject for the semester before their planned departure.
2. Students taking a follow-up master’s degree, based on the capacity of the language department.
3. Students taking a bachelor’s degree, who have taken an exam in a foreign language (usually after passing four semesters of foreign language lessons), based on the capacity of the language department.
Students may sign up only once during studies at FEI. The number of students who can sign up for this subject will be limited by the language department based on its capacity. Students departing for foreign study exchanges always have priority. They are followed by students taking a follow-up master’s degree.
Lessons must always be solved individually with the language department.
