• All students are required to enroll in Safety in Electrical Engineering, after verifying the knowledge, students are instructed within the meaning of § 4, Decree no. 50/1978 Sb. and can perform activities on electrical facilities in FEECS laboratories.
• The timetable of the subject Safety in Electrical Engineering will be made available on the web pages of the Faculty (www.fei.vsb.cz) at the beginning of September.
• During his studies, the students are required to enroll two social sciences. The first subject Fundamentals of Communication, Psychology and Ethics in Medicine is included in the study plan for the second year of the winter semester. The second subject Fundamentals of Law is included in the study plan for the third year of the winter semester.
• The checking of the study results takes place after the winter semester of the first year. To be able to continue with their studies in the summer semester, students must gain a minimum of 15 credits. Students who are repeating the first year must complete all the subjects of the winter semester of the first year of studies to be able to continue in the summer semester.
•The student needs at least 40 credits to pass into the second year.
• To complete the third year, all duties prescribed for the 1st year must be fulfilled and 40 credits from the 2nd year courses must be obtained.
• Detailed instructions for signing up subjects into the Student’s Personal Plan can be obtained from the field department or from the web pages of said department.
• All subjects, including optional ones, become binding on the day a student signs up for them.
• The field department is the Department of Cybernetics and Biomedical engineering.

• Compulsory professional practice is also part of the study obligations which is realized in the 4th semester of study in cooperation with medical facilities.
Professional practice is structured in accordance with Decree No. 39/2005 Coll. and it takes the form of continuous guided practice in three blocks with names:
- Practical Training in Medical Facilities - Diagnostical Instrumentation - the total length of the practice is 50 hours.
- Practical Training in Medical Facilities - Therapeutical Instrumentation - the total length of the practice is 30 hours.
- Practical Training in Medical Facilities - Laboratory Instrumentation - the total length of the practice is 20 hours.
The output of the practice is a "practical diary" in which detailed information on the content and scope of student activities during the course is recorded. In conclusion, it also evaluates student activity during practice.
Practice is usually completed during the examination period and in the summer months. For this reason it is also in 2r. higher credit burden on the student.
• The lessons of the summer semester of the third year of study take place for only 10 weeks.
• In the third year of their studies students must complete the subject Bachelor’s Seminar 1 and 2 in one of following forms:

a) Processing of Topic from the Department
b) Processing of Topic from a Company
c) Practice in a Company

Excursions are part of the study plan.
