• The program is divided into three areas:
- Generation and Distribution of Electricity - in Czech language only
- Electrical Machines and Apparatus
- Electric Light
1st year of study
• The subject Safety in Electrical Engineering will take place in a block form at the beginning of the winter semester according to the academic year schedule on the faculty website.
• Students enroll in 1st and 2nd year:
- all compulsory subjects,
- all compulsory optional courses of type A from one block according to the chosen focus,
- optional subjects according to the recommendation of the departmental department usually in connection with the focus of the thesis.
• All enrolled subjects, including elective, become binding on the date of enrollment.
• For the 2nd grade, the student must earn at least 40 credits for the 1st year.
2nd year of study
• Summer semester is only 10 weeks long.
• A student can apply for the State final examination which:
- has completed all enrolled subjects
- earned at least 120 credits for the entire follow-up study,
- submitted his / her thesis in term.
• Final Examination Range:
- thesis defense,
- compulsory subject: Electrical power engineering,
- compulsory elective subject according to the selected specialization: Generation and distribution of electricity, or Electrical machines and apparatus or Electric light.
The study plan includes planned excursions.
Course Safety in Electrical Engineering 2 is designed for students who have taken the Safety in Electrical Engineering course 3 or more years ago.
Recommended elective courses for Electric Light:
- Lighting in Automotive
- Electrical Power Engineering of Distribution and Industrial Networks (course is compulsory in Generation and Distribution of Electricity)
Recommended elective courses for Electrical Machines and Apparatus:
- Numerical Methods for Designing Electrical Machines and Apparatuses
- Electric Railways Operation
During studies at the FEECS, students can enroll courses from Institute of Languages for a maximum of 4 credits; the capacity of the courses is determined by the Institute of Languages.
