• The course Cybernetics includes the areas of cybernetics and other related subjects of the theoretical basis.
• A student who has passed all the registered subject, acquired 180 credits for their entire bachelor studies and handed in their bachelor thesis may sign up for the state final examination (SFE).
• The state final examination includes
- Defence of the bachelor thesis
- Oral examination in the mandatory subject Cybernetics
- Oral examination in the mandatory subject Control and Information Systems
• The course Control and Information Systems includes the areas of knowledge from basic application areas of the study program.
• A student who has passed all the registered subject, acquired 180 credits for their entire bachelor studies and handed in their bachelor thesis may sign up for the state final examination (SFE).
• The state final examination includes
- Defence of the bachelor thesis
- Oral examination in the mandatory subject Cybernetics
- Oral examination in the mandatory subject Control and Information Systems
• All students are required to enroll in Safety in Electrical Engineering, after verifying the knowledge, students are instructed within the meaning of § 4, Decree no. 50/1978 Sb. and can perform activities on electrical facilities in FEECS laboratories.
• The timetable of the subject Safety in Electrical Engineering will be made available on the web pages of the Faculty (www.fei.vsb.cz) at the beginning of September.
• During his studies, the student must take two courses offered by the Social Sciences department. The first subject Soft Skills I is included in the study plan for the first year of the summer semester. The second subject Fundamentals of Law is included in the study plan for the 3rd year of the summer semester.
• The checking of the study results takes place after the winter semester of the first year. To be able to continue with their studies in the summer semester, students must gain a minimum of 15 credits. Students who are repeating the first year must complete all the subjects of the winter semester of the first year of studies to be able to continue in the summer semester.
•The student needs at least 40 credits to pass into the second year.
• To complete the third year, all duties prescribed for the 1st year must be fulfilled and 40 credits from the 2nd year courses must be obtained.
• Students enroll in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd year all compulsory and compulsory optional subjects of type B.
• Detailed instructions for signing up subjects into the Student’s Personal Plan can be obtained from the field department or from the web pages of said department.
• All subjects, including optional ones, become binding on the day a student signs up for them.
• The field department is the Department of Cybernetics and Biomedical engineering.
• The lessons of the summer semester of the third year of study take place for only 10 weeks.
• In the third year of their studies students must complete the subject Bachelor’s Seminar 1 and 2 in one of following forms:
a) Processing of Topic from the Department
b) Processing of Topic from a Company
c) Practice in a Company
Excursions are part of the study plan.
• Students sign up for a specific level of English language for each of the first four semesters. The language levels are as follows: a – beginners, b – advanced. Students are automatically signed up for an advanced level of English language. Please contact the Department of Studies in order to change the level.
• Students are obliged to complete two semesters of the subject Physical Exercise in the first year of their studies (Physical Exercise A and B). Students can select a particular sport from the list offered by the Department of Physical Education at the beginning of the semester. Other choices are up to students. The Department of Physical Education also offers students in all semesters and study years the possibility of completing an optional subject, Physical Education, and of attending one-week winter and summer physical exercise courses. • Subjects of the block are supplementary vocational subjects that do not have a direct link to the FSE. The student chooses all subjects of the PVB block according to the year and semester.
• The course Basics of Mathematics must be enrolled only by those students who have achieved 5 points or less in the entrance exams and by students of the combined form of study.
• Students enroll in elective courses according to their preferences to complete the required number of credits in each semester.
• For the summer semester, students enroll in elective courses only from the offer for the 3rd year.
• The subject Popularization of Science and Technology 1 can be enrolled at the department at the department only after agreement with the program guarantor.
• The course Introduction to English Business and Technical Correspondence can be enrolled only once during the study at FEI (Bc + N).
• The subject: English, German, Russian and Spanish conversation is intended for:
1. Students who want to travel abroad for a study stay (eg within the Erasmus program), enroll in the course for the semester before the planned trip.
2. Students of the follow-up master's study, according to the capacity of the Department of Languages.
3. Bachelor's students who have passed a foreign language exam (standardly after completing four semesters of foreign language teaching), according to the capacity of the Department of Languages
Students can enroll in the course only once during their studies at FEI. The number of students who can enroll in this course will be limited by the Department of Languages according to its possibilities. Priority is always given to students going on a study stay abroad. Follow-up master's degree students follow. Teaching must always be solved individually at the Department of Languages.
During their studies at FEI, students can enroll in courses from this Institute of Languages for a maximum of 4 credits, the capacity of the courses is determined by the Institute of Languages.
Students can enroll in courses focused on English only after passing the English exam (by default, after completing four semesters of English).
German and Chinese can be studied in addition to the compulsory number of credits (180 credits).
The Department of Languages offers English for Foreigners only for foreign students.
Course Safety in Electrical Engineering 2 is designed for students who have taken the Safety in Electrical Engineering course 3 or more years ago.
