For the final state examination, a student can enroll if he/she has met all requirements given in the curriculum of the appropriate degree programme, obtained 180 credits for the entire bachelor's degree and has submitted a bachelor thesis on time.
The final state examination has three parts:
1. defense of bachelor thesis,
2. exam in Applied Mathematics, in which knowledge of the subjects of the theoretical base is verified,
3. exam in Computational Mathematics and Informatics, in which knowledge of the subjects of the profiling base is verified.
When evaluating both subjects, it is considered:
• the average of the main subjects of the program (compulsory subjects),
• answering a question from the announced thematic areas, see https://www.fei.vsb.cz/470/en/ section Study.

1st year
• Checking of study takes place after the winter semester, the student must reach min. 16 credits for continuing to the summer semester of the first year. Students, who repeat the first year of study, must complete all the courses of the winter semester enrolled in the 1st year to continue the summer semester.
• The minimum number of credits required to advance to 2nd year of study is 40 credits.
2nd year
• To advance to 3rd year, all the duties prescribed for the 1st year must be fulfilled and 40 credits from the 2nd year courses must be obtained.
• Students enroll in the 2nd and 3rd grades all compulsory and choice-compulsory courses and selected voluntary courses to obtain 60 credits for each year.
• Further guidance on the enrolment of subjects can be obtained from the Department of Applied Mathematics.
• All enrolled subjects, including voluntary, become obligatory on the date of enrollment.
3rd year
• Summer semester is only 10 weeks long.
• For the completion of the Bachelors Project 1 and 2, it is expected to elaborate a topic from the Department. Upon agreement, it is possible to elaborate one's own proposed topic.
All students are required to enroll for the course.
The schedule of the subject Safety in Electrical Engineering will be published on the faculty website (www.fei.vsb.cz/en) in early September.
The student enrolls in the first four semesters for English language. Language level (a - beginners, b - advanced). Students are automatically enrolled in an advanced level. To change the language level, contact the Study Department immediately.
Students must complete 2 courses from the Department of Social Sciences.
During the first year, the student must complete 2 courses of Physical Education (in the first and the second semester). The specific sport is chosen according to the offer of the Department of Physical Education at the beginning of the semester.
Furthermore, the Department of Physical Education offers students of all years the possibility of completing the optional subject Physical Education and participation in one-week winter and summer training courses. More information can be obtained directly at the Department of Physical Education and Sport.
Course Safety in Electrical Engineering 2 is designed for students who have taken the Safety in Electrical Engineering course 3 or more years ago.
During studies at the FEECS, students can enroll courses from Institute of Languages for a maximum of 4 credits; the capacity of the courses is determined by the Institute of Languages.
Courses focused on English can be enrolled by students only after passing the English exam (by default, after completing four semesters of English).
