The list of subjects related to the semester project is determined by the pedagogue who announced the topic and makes it public together with the topic of the semester project in IS KATIS, see http://katis.cs.vsb.cz/. The student must register for the topic in IS KATIS and must consult his/her registration with the pedagogue. The student is to sign up for the subjects related to the project in their PSP in IS EDISON at the time of regular sign-up period.
The remaining credits of the recommended 60 credits per year are to be obtained for subjects selected by the student from the study plan.
• Students who cannot attend the preliminary enrollment (eg do not have a current student user account at VŠB - TU Ostrava because they have not completed an IVT bachelor's degree at FEI VŠB - TU Ostrava or will be accepted in later rounds of the admission procedure,…) will get acquainted with the study plan , with the topic of the semester project and related subjects on the website of the Department of Informatics https://katedrainformatiky.cz/en/pro-students/magisterske-studium. They will create the OSP only after enrollment in the study.
• In the summer semester of the 1st year, students choose the topic of the thesis, which then determines the composition of compulsory elective courses in the 2nd year of each student (these courses will be "compulsory" for the student). The list of subjects related to the dissertation is determined by the pedagogue who listed the topic and publishes it together with the topic in the note of the dissertation assignment in IS EDISON. Students must enroll in DP-related subjects in their OSP in IS EDISON at the time of preliminary enrollment. He also chooses optional subjects with regard to the optional subject of SZZ.
The student can implement the DP in two ways: by selecting a topic in IS EDISON or by assigning it from an external entity https://katedrainformatiky.cz/en/pro-students/magisterske-studium a Diplomová práce
