• The course Control and Information Systems includes the areas of knowledge from basic application areas of the study program.
• A student who has passed all the registered subject, acquired 180 credits for their entire bachelor studies and handed in their bachelor thesis may sign up for the state final examination (SFE).
• The state final examination includes
- Defence of the bachelor thesis
- Oral examination in the mandatory subject Cybernetics
- Oral examination in the mandatory subject Control and Information Systems
When evaluating both subjects, account is taken of:
-the average of the main subjects of the program (compulsory subjects)
• The course Cybernetics includes the areas of cybernetics and other related subjects of the theoretical basis.
• A student who has passed all the registered subject, acquired 180 credits for their entire bachelor studies and handed in their bachelor thesis may sign up for the state final examination (SFE).
• The state final examination includes
- Defence of the bachelor thesis
- Oral examination in the mandatory subject Cybernetics
- Oral examination in the mandatory subject Control and Information Systems

• The subject Safety in electrical engineering is compulsory for all students, after verification of knowledge students are instructed in accordance with the provisions of §4, Decree No. 50/1978 Coll. and can carry out activities on electrical equipment. The students are allowed to work on electrical equipment in the FEI laboratories. The timetable for the Electrical Safety course will be published on the Faculty's website (www.fei.vsb.cz) at the beginning of September.
• The review of studies takes place after the summer semester, the student must achieve a minimum of 40 credits to progress to the 2nd year.
• In order to progress to year 3, all the requirements prescribed for year 1 must be met and a minimum of 40 credits must be obtained in year 2 courses.
• Students enrol in all compulsory and compulsory elective B courses in Years 1, 2, 3.
• Further guidance on enrolling in OSP courses can be obtained from the subject department or the department's website.
• All enrolled courses, including electives, become mandatory on the date of enrollment.
• The Department of Cybernetics and Biomedical Engineering is the field department.
• Classes in the 3rd year run for 10 weeks in the summer semester.
• Options for taking the course Undergraduate Seminar 1 and 2:
(a) elaboration of a topic from the department
b) elaboration of a topic from a company
c) in the form of an internship in a company (in the case of SZZ, the student presents a final report on the course of the internship).
• Planned excursions are also part of the study plan.
• Students sign up for a specific level of English language for each of the first four semesters. The language levels are as follows: a – beginners, b – advanced. Students are automatically signed up for an advanced level of English language. Please contact the Department of Studies in order to change the level.
• Students are obliged to complete two semesters of the subject Physical Exercise in the first year of their studies (Physical Exercise A and B). Students can select a particular sport from the list offered by the Department of Physical Education at the beginning of the semester. Other choices are up to students. The Department of Physical Education also offers students in all semesters and study years the possibility of completing an optional subject, Physical Education, and of attending one-week winter and summer physical exercise courses. • Subjects of the block are supplementary vocational subjects that do not have a direct link to the FSE. The student chooses all subjects of the PVB block according to the year and semester.
• The subject Fundamentals of Mathematics is compulsory only for students who have achieved 5 points or less in the entrance examination and for students of the combined form of study.
• Students enrol in elective courses according to their preferences in order to complete the required number of credits in each semester.
• For the summer semester, students take electives only from the 3rd year offer.
• Electrical Safety 2 is for students who have taken Electrical Safety 3 or more years ago.
