342-0433 – Operational Procedures 2 (PP2)

The goal is for students to achieve the necessary competencies to focus on standard operating procedures used in commercial aviation. Completion of this course is part of the theoretical training to acquire pilote licence.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to identify the standard operational procedures used in IFR flight operations, describe the requirements of Regulation L 8168 and the related national and international aviation regulations, and explain the principles of instrument approach procedures, arrival, departure and holding procedures, Low Visibility Operations (LVO), Safety Management Systems (SMS), and other operational procedures used in commercial air transport. Students will be able to apply operational procedures to model operational situations in accordance with applicable aviation regulations, propose appropriate procedures for the safe conduct of individual phases of flight, and evaluate the correct application of operational procedures with regard to flight safety, operational limitations, and regulatory requirements. Students will be able to independently conduct the resolution of model operational tasks, justify selected operational procedures based on applicable aviation regulations and safe operating principles, take responsibility for decision-making in model operational situations, and evaluate operational risks together with the effectiveness of proposed safety measures. Successful completion of the course forms part of the ATPL theoretical training within the scope of Module 070 – Operational Procedures and provides the knowledge required for the theoretical examinations leading to the issue of the Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Czech Republic.
