After completing this subject, students will be able to understand and apply the following skills and topic areas: - design and assessment of composite steel and concrete structures; - design and assessment of large-span steel structures; - design and assessment of steel silos and tanks, towers, masts and chimneys, technological structures; - design and assessment of thin-walled steel structures; - design and assessment of aluminium structures; - design and assessment of timber structures (residential buildings, sports halls, cultural buildings, manufacturing buildings); - fire safety of timber structures; - maintenance, repairs and reconstructions of timber structures.

Spatial stiffness of timber structures. Lumber structures. 12. Spatial timber structures, gables, vaults, dome vaults, shells. 13. Fire resistance of timber structure elements and joints. Design principles. 14. Maintenance, sanitation and reconstruction of timber structures. Fabrication, erection and protection of timber structures.
