Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will acquire knowledge from the environment of investment construction. They will be able to apply the theoretical knowledge in the field of preparation of investment and project management, both for the public and the private sector. They will be orientated among the participants in the investment project and will be able to define the scope of their activities. Students will be able to prepare, decide and manage building orders.

Summary

The subject is based on the basic level of problematic of investment in construction, which is the content of the Bachelor's level of study. The subject focuses more closely on some processes of preparation of investment projects in construction, supplements information about modern methods of management of preparation, realization and operation of building investments, concentrates on the fields of financing of investments and evaluation of economic efficiency of investments in construction. It also supplements information on the procurement process and the management of public procurement and, last but not least, in line with the modern concept of management of preparation and realization of investment in construction, it informs about the issue and the role of BIM in the planning and preparation of construction projects.
