Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students get an overview of contemporary solutions to problems of public areas of towns and villages in our country and abroad, and by analyzing and developing strategies concourses. Contents of the course The target state is to maintain public spaces of towns and villages for pedestrian movement, maintain their existing character and qualities, ensuring habitability. Public spaces (squares, embankments, streets, sidewalks, parks, public gardens, markets, etc.) Viewed in relation to their typology (traditional types of public spaces and specific, complementary forms), organization (street sections and parts of the public spaces) and elements (equipment - materials and surfaces, street furniture, public lighting, greenery, artwork, equipment, advertising) in terms of technical solutions and coordination requirements of municipal engineering. The resulting state of completion of the course is the ability to analyze and design a specific place, creating strategies concourses. The course also focuses on the theory of laws between the public squares and territories, and urban planning constraints on the development of public spaces in various residential structures from the perspective urbárních characteristics of planning principles and practices in systemic solutions of public spaces in urban environments. The basic themes of the course - Public spaces -Principles city urban public space in relation to other urban functions, especially it will be a square, riverside areas, recreation areas and street spaces. - Public areas villages -zejména village square, street space, the floor, the differences in the functions of urban and rural areas, which affect subsequent proposal. - Sustainable development of public spaces - the principles of renewal and maintenance of public spaces in the city and the village, the overall diversity and vitality of urban areas.
