Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The course provides knowledge in a domain of Environmental Geotechnics. It expandes fundamental geotechnical disciplines Mechanics of rocks and soils, Foundation engineering. It displays all major environmental impacts that are initialised by the geotechnical construction. The graduate gets a comprehensive view on all major environmental impacts, their causes and the ways to scale them down.

Summary

Each geotechnical construction recasts a ground environment. A ground response interferes in both the geotechnical construction and a wide ground area around with facilities constructed before. The course focuses on significant phenomena accompanying each geotechnical construction in ground. It outlines their merits, gives analysis of all consequences and brings out ways to mitigate these ones as they are not to be got out since their physical background within.
