Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to acquire basic knowledge about road design and road constructions, to master the principles of pavement design, to get acquainted with the ways of realization and to get an overview of the influence of the roads on surroundings and the environment.

Summary
Students will get acquainted with the roads sorting and with the categories types of roads and urban roads, with tracing principles (directional and height solutions) and with possibilities of width arrangement. The design principles of the ground solids and pavement structures and principles of drainage will be presented. Attention will also be paid to the use of security features and the possibility to calm urban roads. The course will also include pedestrian and bicycle transport and construction for transport at rest (parking, garages).
