Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with problems of railway construction and to practice the acquired knowledge and skills. Students will acquire basic knowledge in designing, building and diagnostics of railway construction.
Passing the student will be able to describe and solve basic problems such as tracing, construction of the superstructure, design of sleeper beds, proposals related structures such as drainage structures etc.
Gets ability to formulate problems, to build an elementary design, apply knowledge and skills to solve simple problems in the field of railway construction.

Summary
The subject deals with an introduction to railway lines, railway. stations and sidings, railway problems of diagnostics and provides students the basics of the technological processes work on railways. Students are gradually introduced to the basic concepts in the field of railway construction, with design elements of the superstructure, alas. substructure, sleeper subsoil drainage, turnouts and crossing structures, with elements of construction equipment, railway stations, the building high-speed lines and elements of the modernization of railways.
