Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will deepen their professional knowledge and skills in the field of building acoustics. After completing the course the student is able to solve basic acoustic problems in the field of urban acoustics, acoustics, building structures and architectural acoustics. It can calculate and assess the spread of noise and the interior, to propose measures to reduce noise levels.

Summary

The course covers all three areas of building acoustics - urban acoustics, building acoustics, room acoustics and design. Students will learn basic calculation procedures for assessing the acoustic variables and requirements.
