Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

1. To identify basic ideas, opinions, principles, conceptions and theories relating to management area. 2. To characterize manager, his activities, roles and responsibilities. 2. To describe classical and modern schools of management. 3. To clarify the principle and main atributes of present management. 4. To list and to explain basic managerial functions - planning, decision-making, organizing, personnel management, leadership and motivation, control. 5. To clarify the use of psychological knowledge in management. 6. To clarify the principle, importance and function of strategic management. 7. To clarify the principle, importance and function of ethic and organizational culture.

Summary

The aim of the subject is to identify the basic concepts, ideas, principles and concepts relating to the field of management, to characterize a manager, his activities, roles and responsibilities, to describe the historical development of management, to explain all of managerial functions - planning, organizing, decision making, personnel management and leadership, motivation, control and communication, to clarify the application of psychological knowledge in management, to explain the nature, function and importance of ethics, corporate culture and strategic management.
