Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of this course is to acquaint students with the basic structure and content of underground construction, its ties to the disciplines of construction completed, the geotechnical and science character.Education will be conducted so that students understand the basic principles of construction of underground works, he could apply those principles into practice and has obtained sufficient experience for employees construction management in a complex natural environment by analyzing the knowledge of that environment.

Underground construction; underground excavation; stope; support; driving; methods of tunneling; new Austrian tunnelling method; machines for tunnel boring, tunelling shields; microtunnelling.
