Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

To teach the students the basic theory of linear vibration with one and more degrees of freedom. To teach the basics of non-linear vibration of mechanical systems. To be able to apply the retrieved knowledge to solve the technical problems.

Summary

Extending knowledge about vibration of one degree-of-freedom linear systems, vibrations excited by rotating mass, transfer of force to subsurface, forced vibrations excited by periodic force and by force of general time behaviour. Longitudinal and torsion vibration of linear multi degree-of-freedom systems, bending vibration of linear multi degree-of-freedom systems, critical speed of shafts. Non-linear one degree-of-freedom systems vibration.
