354-0630 – Designing of Robotic Workplaces 2 (PRP2)

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of functional safety and related machinery directive, legislative requirements. After completing the course, the student will be able to design the safety solution of an automated workplace, or to propose a safety concept and verify this solution, i.e. to determine the achieved performance level (PL).

Within the course the student is introduced to the following issues: - Legislative requirements for the security of machinery. - Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament. - Risk assessment. - Elements of functional safety. - Safety concept - Verification of the safety function
