Student should be able to: 1. Describe and explain basic principles of quality management. 2. Understand and implement basic requirements regarding to quality management system against the ISO 9001 standard. 3. Select and apply some methods and tools of quality management. 4.Analyse and define improvement actions within quality management systems.

Summary

The goal of subject is to inform the students of the basic principles of quality management systems, the ways of its development and concepts of advancement. The students give the information about present perception of quality, concepts of both ISO 9000 standards and TQM. They will understand the basic economic contexts of quality management and learn to use the basic method and tools of quality management. They also receive the basic information regarding the environmental management (EMS) and its relation to quality management system in the frame of integral management. They also obtain set of information focused on procedures, methods and tools at design stage, at product realization stage as well as stage of product usage by customers.
