The student should be able to: 1. Describe the requierements to quality management systems according to the ISO 9000 family of standards. 2. Understand and explain basic principles of quality management. 3. Apply basic procedures of quality management in practice. 4. Compare various approaches and concepts of quality management.

Summary

Development of quality management approaches. Terms and definition of quality management. Basic conceptions of quality management. The ISO conception – the ISO 9000 family of standards. Basic principles of quality management. The quality management at purchasing. The quality management at product realization. Product verification. Control of nonconforming products. Corrective and preventive actions. The continuous improvement methodology. The quality management systems auditing – purpose and procedures. Basic methods and tools of quality management.
