Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

General chemistry: Acquire basic concepts of atomic structure, chemical bonds, reaction kinetics, reaction thermodynamics and chemical equilibrium. Recognize the interdependence and interconnection of these concepts. To apply the acquired knowledge of general chemistry to the properties of individual elements. Inorganic Chemistry: Acquire work with periodic table. Recognize the connection between the position of an element in a table and its binding options and other properties. To get an overview of occurrence, properties, preparation, production and utilization of selected elements and their important compounds.
