Summary

Global coordinate systems ICRS and ITRF (resp. ETRS). Relation between them. Local coordinate systems for positioning, determination of the heights and gravity. Relation between ITRF and local coordinate systems.

Subject syllabus:

1. Type of coordinates, theory of precession, nutation, variation in Earth’s rotation, polar motion 2. Basic methods of space geodesy 3. Definition of ICRS and ITRS (ETRS respectively) 4. National coordinate systems for positioning S-JTSK, S42/83, S-JTSK/95, S-JTSK/05 – realization and relation to ETRS 5. Euriopean height reference systém EVRS and its realization, national height system ČSJNS, relation to EVRS 6. Gravity systems and their realization
