- characterize the principle of photocatalytic processes - observe the influence of the nature of the photocatalyst, the wavelength used, the temperature, pressure and other factors on the course of the photocatalytic reaction

Summary

The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the concepts of photocatalysis as a scientific discipline and its application potential. The course will cover the basics of photocatalytic reactions, and topics related to the focus of the doctoral candidate's dissertation will be selected for detailed study.

Seminární práce pokrývající řešenou problematiku související se zaměřením disertační práce za použití monografií i primárních literárních pramenů a dalších dostupných informačních zdrojů.

Subject syllabus:

Fotokatalytické procesy. Absorpce záření hmotou a její následné fyzikální a chemické změny. Průběh fotochemických reakcí. Zdroje záření. Mechanismus fotokatalytických reakcí. Fotokatalytické reakce na polovodičových fotokatalyzátorech. Homogenní a heterogenní fotokatalýza. Polovodičové fotokatalyzátory. Molekulová struktura. Laboratorní fotochemické reaktory. Kinetika fotokatalytických reakcí. Eliminace makrokinetických prvků experimentálního zařízení. Vliv použité vlnové délky, teploty, tlaku a reduktantu na fotokatalytické reakce. Modifikované fotokatalyzátory. Vliv povrchových úprav a dopování povrchu fotokatalyzátorů. Fotokatalyzátory s heteropřechodem. Z-schéma. Imobilizované fotokatalyzátory. Metody nanášení tenkých vrstev a jejich charakterizace Fotokatalytické čištění vzduchu. Fotokatalytické čištění vody. Další aplikace fotokatalytických procesů.
