Summary

The course introduces students to the quality management system and reliability models of hunting, sporting and defensive weapons and ammunition in the Czech Republic and the EU. Students will develop a broader understanding of the quality assurance process of weapons and ammunition. Learning outcomes of the course unit The subject teaches students to determine basic characteristics of weapons and ammunition reliability based on shooting tests and in the monitoring of weapons in operation.

The quality system of weapons management and its development in the Czech Republic. European Quality Policy for Weapons. Arms life cycle processes, process management. The process of determining the requirements for a new weapon. The process of designing and developing a new weapon. The process of producing the weapon. Methods and techniques of quality assurance of weapons. Government Proficiency Testing Process. The process of using weapons, the maintenance process and the technical support of the liquidation proces. Reliability of weapons. Theoretical models of reliability. Reliability of weapons and their characteristics. Maintainability weapons and its characteristics. Arms alertness and its characteristics.
