Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic problems of physical and technical measurements. Emphasis is placed on understanding the logical construction of the experiment. Special attention is paid to the correct use of statistical methods in the processing of measurement results. There is also some basic information from the field of metrology, general physical methods and instrumentation. The content of the course is a logical scheme of experimental work, organization of metrology, concepts of error and measurement uncertainty, numerical expression of values, application of statistics, understanding of basic principles used in measuring physical quantities in relation to practice in safety engineering.
