Summary
In the course Information support for managers are student familiarized with the basic possibilities of using computer technology to obtain information and knowledge relevant to their work assignments. Emphasis is placed on team work and collaborative forms of collaboration with team members. The course if focused also on online applications and web services and their increasing involvement in business processes and tools.

1. History of the Internet – millstones, personality.
2. How Internet works – main services, applications, protocols, network topology.
3. Cloud Computing I. – history, concepts, characteristics, service models.
4. Cloud Computing II. – architecture, deployment models, security and privacy.
5. Time management – techniques and systems.
6. Data and information visualization – communicate information clearly and efficiently.
7. Web design – main rules, application and services connectivity, graphics.
Tutorials
1. Basic services, applications and protocols on the Internet.
2. Internet Web browser as a basic access point – safety, synchronization, sync extensions, setting rules.
3. Internet search – catalogues versus full text search. Advanced techniques of searching and collecting information and data from the Internet.
4. Install applications and services in the online environment - security and management of online applications and extensions.
5. Online storage - uploading rules, sharing options, secure data and information.
6. Time management tools - avoid work overload, effective time management, prioritize and schedule time – evernote.com.
7. Infographics - visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present information quickly and clearly.
8. Mind Maps - visually organize information. Generate, visualize, structure, and classify ideas, and as an aid to studying and organizing information, solving problems, making decisions, and writing.
9. Google applications I. - description of online cloud environment. Rules and advanced function usage when working with a text editor and spreadsheet. Export and Import, synchronization of documents.
