Gurantor department | Department of Materials and Technologies for Vehicles | Credits | 5 |
Subject guarantor | Ing. Michal Weisz, Ph.D. | Subject version guarantor | Ing. Michal Weisz, Ph.D. |
Study level | undergraduate or graduate
| | Study language | English |
Year of introduction | 2022/2023 | Year of cancellation
Intended for the faculties | FMT | Intended for study types | Follow-up Master |
Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of the course is to familiarize students, by using CAD / CAM programs, with specific knowledge in the fields of progressive CNC machining, which start already at the their design and finis hit with product of functional precision parts. Students in practice will engage their creative qualities to solve specific technical problems.
Students which have completed this course integrate their gathered knowledge and experience of subjects in the field of materials, technology, design and structural design of parts and wholes. In the course of Practicum of CAD / CAM system students are involved from the creation of 3D models, editing models for production needs, the creation of complex programs for machining, choice of technological parameters for multi-axis machining, up to the real machining on 5-axis machine tools Litz LU - 800 and Sahos FC 3000.
Great advantage of this course is that students understand the relationship of individual design - manufacturing operations and will be able to be at the birth of components, from design to production. This helps understand all the difficulties of this issue. Students improve design of 3D components, they will be able to consider the technological - production aspects, already in the design of components, expand your knowledge of the problems of use and suitability of the cutting tools and fixtures for machining. They will be know the difficulties arising from the multi-axis machining of complex workpieces, such as curves car models in scale, etc.
Students gain skills of design and optimization components, but also the design of a suitable manufacturing method, choice of tools, fixtures, cutting parameters and also better understand the design of technological components and improve their previous and gathered knowledge.
