Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will acquire basic professional knowledge of building acoustics and building lighting techniques. In Building Acoustics, students learn basic acoustic quantities, learn how to judge the sound distribution in the outdoor and indoor space. They will be able to assess the acoustic properties of building structures and propose improvement measures In the Lighting section, students will acquaint basic daylight building requirements, with simple graphic methods and simulation calculations for daylight lighting. They will be able to assess the sunshine of buildings and outdoor areas.
