Teaching methods

Summary

Materials used in the construction sector, their production, properties and uses. Fire-technical properties of building materials, possibilities of their positive treatment. Interpretation of properties of building materials in connection with fire safety in structures. Transition to European standards and the expiration of original norms ČSN in the area of fire technical testing.

Subject syllabus:

Proces hoření, hořlaviny, příprava materiálu k hoření Zapalování materiálu, zápalné zdroje, vnitřní zdroje energie, samovznícení Hoření, plamen, vývoj tepla Dým, jeho tvorba složení a negativní účinky Snižování hořlavosti materiálů Požárnětechnické charakteristiky materiálů: zapalitelnost, hořlavost (šíření plamene, vývoj tepla), charakteristiky kouře (snížení viditelnosti, toxicita, korozivita, transport tepla, hořlavost kouře) Výroba, vlastnosti a použití plastů: polyetylen, polypropylen, polystyren, polyvinylchlorid, polymetylmetakrylát, polyestery, polyamidy, epoxidy, polyuretany, kaučuky a pryže, polysiloxany, fenoplasty, aminoplasty. Jejich tepelný rozklad, hoření a rizika.
