Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students learn basic rules for graphical representation in building construction drawings. They must practically demonstrate knowledge of drawing and marking fundamental building constructions (brickwork, windows, doors, staircase, ramps, stack brickwork etc.) and displaying in ground plan, vertical cut and also making dimensions and descriptions. Students can interpret basic knowledge into designing of ground plan building object and to apply them in the solution of the building situation.

Summary

The course provides the basic knowledge of the area of engineering drawing in construction and partially also mechanical engineering. It gives a necessary basis for the production and mainly reading of graphic technical documentation. Part of education is to create technical documentation using AutoCAD graphic system.

Compulsory literature:

Technical Standard EN 01 3420 Construction drawings - Presentation of general arrangement drawings. 2004

Recommended literature:

Paul, F. AUBIN, Darryl McCLELLAND, Martin SCHMIDT, Gregg STANLEY. Mastering AutoCAD Architecture 2010. NY, USA: DELMAR Cengage Leareing ISBN-13: 978-1-4390-5766-7, 1040 p.

Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Written tests of knowledge - according to the topics of lectures.

E-learning

Other requirements

During the semester is assigned a total of 8 programs - drawings. Each drawing of the specified programs always be processed in two variants: - Hand, pencil on paper, - In digital form in design in 2D drawing in AutoCAD. Conditions of credit is to develop and deliver all 8 programs, and of which min. 4 drawings shall be processed in the form of 2D drawing in AutoCAD environment graphical system.
