Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The aim of the course is clarify with requirements put on fire protection of structures from the point of view of territorial planning, construction and materials. The course makes the student familiar with passive and also active elements of fire safety in structures. The knowledges can be apply with students in working experience.

Summary

Požárně zabezpečený stavební objekt musí umožnit bezpečnou evakuaci uživatelů budov, bránit nadměrnému šíření požáru uvniř objektu, zamezit přenesení požáru na okolní zástavbu a svými parametry umožnit účinný a bezpečný protipožární zásah.

Subject syllabus:

Courses: 1. History of Fire Protection of Buildings (FSB). Legal and technical regulations. Basic notions. 2. Territorial, dispositional and structural requirements of FSB. Assessment of non-industrial buildings. Fire Compartment and fire dividing constructions 3. Fire risk. Average and concentrated fire load. Fire compartments and spaces without fire risk. Dimensions of fire compartments 4. Level of fire safety. Fire technical properties of constructions (flammability, fire resistance of structures etc.). Possibilities of improving fire technical properties of building materials and constructions. 5. Evacuation routes in non-industrial buildings. Types, dimension, design and equipment. 6. Distances and fire risk areas of non-industrial buildings. 7. Technical devices and provision of fire fighting intervention. 8. Assembly spaces, buildings for dwelling and accommodation – specific requirements of FSB. 9. Buildings for health and change of buildings - specific requirements of FSB. 10. Assessment of industrial buildings. Fire and economical risk. Fire safety devices. 11. Evacuation routes from industrial buildings. Distances and technological devices. 12. Storage facilities for agriculture. 13. New approach of fire safety of buildings (course of specialist).
