Students will be familiarised with theory of movement at vertical and sloping surfaces, free and captured falls, methods of anchoring and securing, including practical application presentation.

Subject syllabus:

Safe work in the high and above a free space. Choice of climbers in the terms of physical and psychic assumptions. Specific problems of industrial climbing control. Movement theory in vertical and sloping workplaces. Anchoring and securing, fall factor. Theory and praxis of free and captured falls. Swinging effect, safe free space. Probabilities and possibilities of free fall survival. Basic principles and aspects of providing personal rescue equipment against a fall, roping-down and rescue technique to employees. Recommended personal rescue equipment against a fall, roping-down and rescue technique according to the basic types of workplaces. Personal rescue equipment against a fall, roping-down and rescue technique; construction, function. Hazards of accidents resulting from improper use of personal rescue equipment against a fall, roping-down and rescue technique. Solidity, functional and physiological tests of personal rescue equipment against a fall. Rescue and special services.
