Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The goal is to understand the issue of obtaining experimental data, managing separate measurements using basic measuring methods of measuring instruments and processing short and concise reports on measurements including evaluation.

Teaching methods

Lectures
Experimental work in labs

Summary

Students will learn the fundamentals of measurement theory and experimental data acquisition, metrology, measuring instruments and their properties. They will learn to evaluate the results of measurement error and uncertainty of measurement results. attention is paid to the explanation of the most widely used principles of measurement and measuring instruments, no focus on their specific technical implementation. Students measure value geometric variables , temperature, pressure , air flow , basic electrical values.
