Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Students will understand the importance of security systems (alarm systems) for security of the objects. Student will be able to assess relation between electrical security systems, mechanical security systems and physical protection of the premises. Using a safety assessment of the object will be able to design an efficient use of security systems to achieve the desired level of security of the premises.

Summary

Fire-safety equipment (FSE), its importance and categorisation. Structure and application of FSE, inclusion into fire safety of structures and technologies. Fire-alarm systems, intruder alarm security systems (IASS), increasing the security of guarded structures by means of IASS. Spatial, opening, glass- breaking, shake, alignment sensors. Alarm transfer. IASS operation.
