Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

The basic purpose of the course is to create a comprehensive picture of the principles of fire protection in the Czech Republic. The student is able to explain the basic directions of fire protection (prevention, repression) and is familiar with the fire protection system in the Czech Republic.

Summary

The course conceptually describes the cycle of fire danger associated with construction, shows the basic principles of fire safety in construction management. Subsequently, it focuses on understanding the concept of operating activities under the conditions of legislation in the Czech Republic. It explains the importance of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic in relation to the performance of state fire supervision and describes the fire brigade units with regard to the performance of the service.

Members of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic who have a service exam and secondary school graduates in the field of fire protection are not required to participate in seminars, but are required to pass a test.

Subject syllabus:

1) The origin of fire and its basic parameters and forms of spread 2) Fire risk - the degree of probability of fire and the extent of damage, the acceptability of the risk; Fire hazard - a source of health hazards or property damage; the meaning of these terms for the fire protection system in the Czech Republic; 3) The influence of fire risk on the solution of fire safety during construction, definition of basic terms, basic principles of reducing fire risk in the design of buildings; fire resistance limit states; 4) Fire safety equipment and material means of fire protection - division and types, their importance for fire safety; 5) Fire technical characteristics and technical safety parameters, methods for their determination; 6) Fire hazard - the importance and principle of its assessment, its connection with the types of operations, properties and characteristics of substances; division of activities according to the degree of fire risk; 7) Types of fire brigades - basic division of fire brigades; basic tasks of PO units and practical significance of the definition of basic tasks, conditions for the establishment of PO units; Performance of Service in fire brigades; 8) Organizational and operational management in fire brigade units - the principle of area coverage by fire brigade units; Categories of fire brigades; fire management levels; 9) Voluntary fire units of municipalities - the method of establishing units of the voluntary fire brigade of the municipality; 10) fire units of the company - conditions and method of establishment of these fire brigade units; 11) Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic - the method of establishing the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and basic tasks, the structure of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic; 12) State Fire Supervision; construction prevention - supervision of construction management; control activities - supervision of fire safety conditions, fire controls; Determining the causes of fire - statistical monitoring of fires and their impact on the fire protection system in the Czech Republic; 13) JPO operational management - Visit to the XVR workplace
