Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
The aim of fire safety of buildings (PBS) is to prevent loss of life and health and loss of property. It is mainly about creating conditions for safe evacuation from a burning or fire-endangered building, about preventing the spread of fire inside and outside the building and about creating conditions for effective intervention of fire brigades. The construction part of the building must be dimensioned for the expected effects of fire.

Summary
The study of the subject leads to a deeper understanding of the principles of designing fire safety of buildings and technologies in order to apply the requirements for fire protection of non-production buildings in terms of land, layout, construction and materials and know the possibilities of using fire safety equipment.
