Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences

Focus on knowledge in the area of risk event analysis, evaluation of necessary rescue systems and estimates of the amount of necessary personnel and resources integrated rescue system for successful localization and management of emergencies. It explains the specific tasks of government and coordinates the implementation of tasks and measures related to: - population protection, - crisis management, - crisis and emergency planning, - economic measures for crisis situations, - nature of the crisis plans of the Ministry of the Interior, - planning related objectives for the fire rescue services. Crisis management is in terms of security policy focused on analyzing and evaluating: - security risks and planning, - organizing, implementing, - controlling activities in preparation for and dealing with crisis situations, - protecting critical infrastructure.

Summary

Participation in the course students obtain knowledge and skills in the field of fire protection, especially focusing on topics such as complex conditions for intervention, continuity of fire intervention, fire extinguishing by foam, powder and inert gases. At the same time the students will be acquainted with the fact of the activities of Fire Rescue Service in operational management, the organization of the intervention site and the management of the emergency with respect to the scope. An integral part is also knowledge in the area of interventions in buildings of agricultural production, tactics and cooperation regarding road traffic collisions, and last but not least, knowledge of communication in dealing with large scale emergencies. Knowledge of the means of chemical, technical and mechanical services are connected with the interpretation of topics related to the rescue and evacuation, the nature of events with the dangerous substances (CBRNE) and the implementation of technical interventions. In technical topics, the course is completed with a practical part, where the students try to use the technical means and get a real picture of the level of equipment of fire protection units and the opportunity to try out a number of resources that are covered by these topics.
