Summary

Industrial Toxicology as a scientific discipline and management system. Compounds dangerous for human health and their impacts: system toxicity, cancerogenity, mutageneicity, reproduction toxicity, teratogenity, corrosivity, irritant properties, environmental toxicity and other effects (endocrine disruptors, allergens, sensibilitation). Dose - response dependens, limits of dangerous compouns in working and living environment, risk assessment, information sources concerning industrially used chemicals

Subject syllabus:

Toxicology as a scientific discipline and a form of risk management. Substances hazardous to human health and manifestations: systemic toxicity, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, reproductive toxicity, teratogenicity, corrosivity, irritation, toxicity to the environment, other manifestations (endocrine disruptors, allergens, sensitization). Substances dangerous for environment. Relation Dose - effect, limits of hazardous substances at work and environment, determining risk, sources of information on the toxicity of substances used in industry.
