Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Explain the modes of transport of hazardous substances in the enterprise and security. Assess the security measures in transport pipelines. Compare the requirements for the transport of dangerous goods by road, rail, air and sea. Recommend means of transport equipment. Process documentation for transportation, as well as an emergency.

Summary
Methods of transport of dangerous substances in enterprises, hazard identification and safety measures. Safety measures in transport pipelines.Regulations for the transport of dangerous substances and wastes in the Czech Republic, application of international regulations (ADR agreement, RID code), requirements of transport by water and air. Labelling of dangerous substances and wastes, equipment of transport means, documentation for transport also in case of accident.

Subject syllabus:
1. PROVISION OF TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES IN THE ENTERPRISE
Transport systems for liquids and gases. Analysis of the main causes of accidents in the company and the required measures.
2. SAFETY OF PUMPS AND COMPRESSORS
Principle and types of pumps - the measures required. Principle and types of compressors - required action.
3. SECURITY MEASURES FOR TRANSPORTATION PIPELINE
The current situation in the country. Guidelines for comprehensive pipeline safety, pipeline safety rules and recommendations for operators of pipelines,
recommendations for public authorities.
4. PIMS
Analysis and implementation of PIMS (Pipeline Integrity Management System), practical applications.
5. ANALYSIS ACCIDENT IN THE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES IN THE WORLD AND IN CZECH REPUBLIC.
Examples of accidents and their analysis. Use of Traffic Information System DOC.
6. ENSURE THE SAFE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES
European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods (ADR). Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods (RID Regulations).
