Subject syllabus:

1st Introduction Basic concepts and definitions. Types of explosive substances and technical safety parameters, their definitions and methods of measurement. 2nd EXPLOSIVE SUBSTANCES The behavior and properties of mixtures of flammable gases, flammable liquids, vapors, combustible dusts and mists. 3rd OPERATIONAL EFFECTS OF EXPLOSIVE Effect of basic technical parameters, safety and explosion characteristics of the initial conditions (initial temperature, pressure, ignition energy, state of motion of the mixture, the size and shape of containers, their interconnections, oxygen content). 4th EXPLOSION IN PIPES Flame front propagation speed at the initiation of open and closed end of the pipe, the effect of pipe diameter, the influence of turbulent mixture start-up distance to detonation transition, radial and axial pressure in the pipeline. 5th Hybrid mixture Species hybrid admixture influence on the maximum explosion parameters of the lower explosive limit, the optimal concentration and the minimum ignition energy. 6th DANGEROUS LEVELS OF EXPLOSIVE MIXTURES Occurrence of explosive mixtures of flammable gases, flammable liquids, aerosols and vapors of flammable liquids, aerosols and particulate matter (industrial dust) and mixtures thereof. Dangerous levels in a confined space, hazardous amount of free space. 7th Detonation in free space Tritolový equivalent. Propagation of pressure waves and their effect on the environment under different working conditions. 8th Explosion prevention Removal of free space, storage of flammable liquids or below the layer of water, floating lid, a layer of microspheres, a layer of stable foam. Alternative inflammable substances less flammable or combustible. 9th Inertization Total inerting. Limiting oxygen content. Inerizace inerními gases inerizace inert powders, inerting water. Inertization hybrid mixtures. 10th LIMITATIONS OF THE POSSIBILITY OF INITIATION Zones for flammable gases and vapors of flammable liquids, combustible dust zones. Categories of equipment for explosive environments. 11th Explosion DESIGN PROTECTION Explosion proof construction. Design explosion proof nature. 12th Lightweight, explosion suppression Design size of relief openings, relieving diaphragm, relief valves, relief valves. Elements of relief works (windows, doors, walls, ceilings, roofs). Explosion suppression. 13th Timid FUSE Dry timid policies (joints, pipes, a layer of beads), wet timid policies (direct, end). Arc dimensions and their determination. 14th RESERVE
