Interpret requirements of selected laws and other regulations to ensure occupational health and safety;
Acquires the ability to put legal requirements and other regulations to ensure occupational health and safety into practice.

Summary
The subject focuses on key legal requirements and other regulations in the field of occupational health and safety (OHS). Excellent knowledge and understanding of the laws and other regulations to ensure OHS, the ability of their interpretation and application in practice is an essential part of the qualification requirements of all OHS professionals (specialists). The subject is the starting point for more specialized OHS subjects, e.g. Technical safety, Occupational hygiene, Case studies.

Individual EU directives focusing on specific aspects of safety and health (e.g. Directive 2009/104/EC – use of work equipment; Directive 92/58/EEC - safety and/or health signs; Directive 89/656/EEC - use of personal protective equipment; etc.)
