Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to demonstrate the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills acquired by the student during his / her studies and the ability to apply these knowledge and skills in processing and solving specific tasks according to the thesis. Within the diploma thesis student demonstrates his / her abilities and skills acquired during his / her studies. It demonstrates the technical way of thinking and expression, knowledge of technical literature, technical standards and their use. The semestral project presents its own focus of work, when the student develops the final proposal, which results in the formal elaboration of the thesis.

Summary
In the course, the student is acquainted with the principles for drawing up the thesis and its presentation.
Compulsory literature:
Dean's Directive FBI_SME_14_002 Instructions for elaboration of diploma thesis. 16 p.
Professional literature, legislation and technical standards corresponding to the topic of the thesis. Prescribed by the supervisor of the thesis and stated in the assignment.
Recommended literature:
Way of continuous check of knowledge in the course of semester

Other requirements
At least 70% attendance at seminars. Absence of a maximum of 30% must be excused and the excuse must be accepted by the teacher (the teacher decides on the justification of the excuse). Continuous submission of tasks assigned to the exercises in terms set by the teacher.

Subject syllabus:
Individually focused project according to the student's thesis assignment.
During the exercises, students, under the supervision of their supervisor, process the theoretical and practical part of the thesis and present it at the end of the term.
