Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
To illustrate the process of combustion, explosion and toxic effects of chemical substances and preparations. Identify the characteristics of hazardous substances. Explain the legal measures, in accordance with requirements of the European Union, the registration, classification, labeling and packaging, including the requirements for safe handling
chemicals. Addressing the knowledge requirements of the safe transportation of hazardous substances (ADR, RID Regulations).

In industry, the transport activities in daily encounters dangerous substances that may have a negative impact on human health and the environment
Information about the processes of burning, explosion and toxic acting and also characteristic properties of dangerous substances. Legislative provisions in accordance with the requirements of the European Union concerning manipulation with dangerous chemical substances. Knowledge of requirements regarding their safe transport (ADR, RID).

Subject syllabus:
1. FIRE and EXPLOSION
Explanation of the process of burning and explosion theory látek.Hořlavé oxidation of combustible substances and their separation, physical and chemical properties affecting flammability.
2. OXIDIZING AGENTS and IGNITION SOURCES
Types of oxidizing agents, potential ignition sources, focusing on self-ignition (physical, chemical, biological)
3. TOXICITY
The primary toxicity, combustion gases and their toxicity.
4. LAW on ChEMICAL SUBSTANCES and PREPARATIONS
The emergence and development of legislation for chemical substances and preparations. The requirements of the Act on Chemical Substances and Chemical Preparations, principles of law, state administration.
5. USE of IMPLEMENTING Tthe ACT of CHEMICAL SUBSTANCES and CHEMICAL PRODUCTS
Classification and good laboratory practices, labeling and packaging of chemical substances and preparations, a binding list of classified substances.
6. MANAGEMENT of HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES
Safe handling of hazardous chemical substances and preparations - the requirements of the Act on protection of public health, a qualified person for the highly toxic substance.
7- REACH
The nature and principles of REACH. European Chemicals Agency, conduct registration, chemical safety report, safety data sheet.
8. CLP
Classification, packaging and labeling of dangerous substances and mixtures.
9. SAFE TRANSPORT of DANGEROUS SUBSTANCES
The requirements for road and rail transport of dangerous substances and articles according to ADR and RID Regulations (classification of dangerous substances, the conditions for inclusion of hazardous substances into classes, classification code, tickets, equipment, vehicles). Requirements for the safe transport of dangerous substances in water and air.
10. TRANSPORT HAZARDOUS WASTE
Hazardous waste characteristics, responsibilities in the transport of hazardous waste.
11.FOR OBTAINING INFORMATION ABOUT HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE
Analysis of the necessary information for the prevention and to intervene.
