Subject aims expressed by acquired skills and competences
When absolving the subject, student will be able, with the help of legislation and opendatabase sources, to identify basic dangers of chemical compounds from the point of view of industrial toxicology, to define information necessary to estimate exposure and to assess risks.

Subject syllabus:
Toxicology as scientific discipline and the form of risk management. Dangerous substances and mixtures and theit effects: carcnogeneity, mutageneity, reproductive toxicity, teratogenity, corrosivity, irritant properties, ecotoxicity and other effectrs (endocrine disruptors, alergy, sensibilization...)
Substances dangerous for environment. Risk estimation, information resources.
Occupational safety with regard to toxicity, occupational illnesses, accidents.
Legislation.
