When absolving the subject, student will be able, with the help of legislation and opendatabase sources, to identify basic dangers of chemical compounds from the point of view of industrial toxicology, to define information necessary to estimate exposure and to assess risks.

Subject syllabus:

Industrial Toxicology as a scientific discipline and management system. Compounds dangerous for human health and their impacts: system toxicity, cancerogenity, mutageneicity, reproduction toxicity, teratogenity, corrosivity, irritant properties, environmental toxicity and other effects (endocrine disruptors, allergens, sensibilitation). Dose - response dependens, limits of dangerous compouns in working and living environment, risk assessment, information sources concerning industrially used chemicals
